Rolf Koppelmann and his team frequently use the ROV Mohawk during ship expeditions. The ROV is remotely controlled via a cable and fibre connection and operated with a cockpit-like deck unit on the ship. The ROV is highly manoeuvrable and equipped with different camera systems and environmental sensors. It can be deployed down to 1,000 m water depth.
